Master Specialization: Bioinformatics [Will not be open in 2023/2024]
The graduate will be able to analyze and understand large biological files, namely molecular data files.
The graduate will understand the basic principles of molecular biology, he/she will have a good grasp of structured and unstructured molecular data (DNA sequences, protein structures, gene expression data, interactions among proteins, etc.). The graduate will be familiar with statistical evaluation of these data files as well as with advanced data mining techniques applicable to large and heterogeneous databases. This branch of study focuses on in silico (computer, software) techniques that complement earlier in vitro (laboratory) experiments.
