HERCULES (High-Performance Embedded Real-time Architectures for Low-Powered Many-Core Systems)

HERCULES project focuses on the development of performance heterogeneous multicore embedded systems to run real-time algorithms. This new platform is demonstrated on the role self-driving car.

The aim is to develop the implementation of cutting-edge scheduling algorithms in real-time industrial quality and their applications on modern hardware heterogeneous multiprocessor computing platforms. The challenge is to combine the demands on computing power of modern algorithms (eg. The analysis and image processing), low energy requirements, the physical dimensions of the unit and its reliability. These are the problems faced by the mass production of automobiles samořiditelných. And the example samořiditelných car is HERUCLES demonstrated. HERCULES project is one of the prestigious projects challenge Horizon 2020.
