SALTT (Scheduling Algorithms for Time-Triggered Systems)

The project SALTT develops a new theory and algorithms for scheduling problem of communication messages in real-time communication networks used in aircraft, automobiles and other means.

The main research challenge is finding a way to synthesize reliable yet efficient communication schedules. The result developed algorithms and methods is the schedule of the communication messages (eg. Control signals) that provides the required reliability. Communication messages are allocated according to different levels of criticality, boosting the efficient use of resources. SALTT project is funded by the Agency's Office of Naval Research, U.S.
