Minor Specialization: Management

Minor specialization Management is focused on acquiring basic knowledge for managerial control. Students will gain knowledge of the basis of management practices for managing teams and business units, internal management, budgeting and costing. Minor specialization Management also enables to obtain basic information on marketing and management of financing and funding of projects and business activities.

Passage through study

The knowledge at the level of B1B16ZPU is expected. If a student did not complete similar course in his bachelor studies, this one has to be the first and then students choose only one course in optional part of minor.

Composion of course for minor specialization Management is:

  • 1. Management (A0M16MGM) (alternative is the course Soft Skills I. - see below)
  • 2. Marketing (B1M16MAR)
  • 3-4. Choose two of four courses: 
    Controlling (B1M16CTR1)
    Financial accounting (B1M16FIU)
    Financial management (B1M16FIM1)
    Managerial Decision Making (B1M16MNR)

The recommended order for completing the courses are: (B1B16ZPU) - B1M16FIU - B1M16FIM1, respectively (B1B16ZPU) - B1M16CTR1 - B1M16FIM1. Completion of other courses is up to the students.

Additional materials

Instead of the course Management (A0M16MGM), students can take an interactive course Soft Skills I., organized with the multinational company Procter & Gamble. The course opens in both semesters and at the end students will receive a certificate of completion.
